Allah has made the Ka'bah, the shrine as a center for human beings. "(Surah Maa'idah: 97)
alhamdulilllah, it was my second time of my life going to the holy land, Mecca. Last month, I was going along with my husband and his family, that means my new family :) hope all my friends who read this article can go to Mecca to perform Umrah and Hajj worship. aaaammmmiiin.
Abu Huraira : Allah's Apostle said, "( The performance of) Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise.
Ibn Juraij : Ikrima bin Khalid asked Ibn 'Umar about performing 'Umra before Hajj. Ibn Umar replied, "There is no harm in it." Ikrima said, "Ibn Umar also said, 'The Prophet had performed Umra before performing Hajj.'
The Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, performed by Muslims that can be undertaken at any time of the year. In Arabic, Umrah means "to visit a populated place". In the Sharia, Umrah means to perform Tawaf round the Kaaba and Sa'i between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, after assuming Ihram (a sacred state), either from a Miqat like Zu 'l-Hulafa, Juhfa, Qarnu 'l-Manāzil, Yalamlam, Zāt-i-'Irq, Ibrahīm Mursīa, or a place in Hill. It is sometimes called the 'minor pilgrimage' or 'lesser pilgrimage', the Hajj being the 'major' pilgrimage and which is compulsory for every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it. The Umrah is not compulsory but highly recommended.
The usual way for conggregation, through religious way, is visiting to Jabal Rahmah, Jabal Uhud, the Prophet Muhammad's tomb companions, Quba Mosque, the Floating Mosque on a red sea, Jabal Arafat, Jabal Tyre. For additional assistance will normally be added to the mosque qiblatain, camel farm, or souvenir shopping.
Arabs surrounding area is very dry, the hottest temperature around 54ºC, has a prosperous city. although very minimal greenery, city dwellers mecca, madina or other cities in Saudi Arabia had no shortage of water. But do you know that there are plenty of water in SA, called zam zam. Zam zam water, has no colour or smell, but it has a distinct taste, and its pH is 7.9–8.0, indicating that it is alkaline to some extent and is similar to seawater. According to Islamic belief, it is a miraculously-generated source of water from God, which began thousands of years ago when Abraham's infant son Ishmael was thirsty and kept crying for water. Millions of pilgrims visit the well each year while performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimages, in order to drink its water.
The Well of Zamzam is a well located within the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, 20 m (66 ft) east of the Kaaba, the holiest place in Islam.
My enjoyment is coming to the holy land of Allah is we can see the euforia of the Arab population who live only to worship everyday in the mosque. Especially the people of Mecca entering on prayer in to the Masjidil Haram. Maybe this is a lesson for Muslims, specially for me, who do not live in the holy city, to enhance our worship and piety wherever we are. I also learn that
not how often we visit the holy land, but how much we build up our taqwa towards Allah and to maintain consistency in worship.
